
Ryan Honary is a teenage inventor and entrepreneur and the founder of SensoRyAI, a technology company developing AI-powered systems for comprehensive wildfire risk management. Inspired by the devastating 2018 Camp Fire in California, he has focused on applying engineering, artificial intelligence, and environmental science to improve how communities assess wildfire risk before ignition and detect fires in their earliest stages.
Ryan's work has been conducted in collaboration with firefighters, engineers, researchers, and public agencies, including the Orange County Fire Authority and Irvine Ranch Conservancy, and has supported real-world deployments and field validation in wildfire-prone environments.
He is the inventor on a U.S. patent related to wildfire detection technology and has authored multiple peer-reviewed engineering publications. His work has received national and international recognition, including numerous awards at science and industry competitions.
Beyond his technical work, Ryan founded the Climate Solutions Society, a student-led nonprofit organization that encourages young people to address environmental challenges by developing practical, science-based solutions. Through mentorship, education, and collaboration, the organization aims to inspire the next generation of innovators to turn concern about climate change into meaningful action.
Ryan is a student at Stanford University, where he has been awarded a fellowship to advance research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and environmental resilience. Building on his interdisciplinary background in engineering and biological systems, he plans to pursue biomedical engineering with the goal of developing innovative technologies that improve human health and address complex real-world challenges.
